Join us for a final night this summer with a flash mob of street food vendors, independent chefs and food caterers who will gather together to host Fleet Street’s Food Feast-IVAL at Coffin Works.
From 5.30pm to 10.30pm, food traders who represented our multi-cultural city will present a mouth-watering menu of tantalising dishes in one of Birmingham’s best-kept spaces.
Walking distance from the City centre, Coffin Works opened its factory doors to the public after a 15-year rescue mission by Birmingham Conservation Trust.
The Coffin Works, located on Fleet Street, is the Jewellery Quarter’s newest heritage attraction where visitors in the day take a step back in time and experience the factory, as it would have been in its heyday. The Birmingham Conservation Trust has been busy restoring original machinery – some of which is over a hundred years old – and installing original items to their proper place.
Most importantly, in thinking about food culture in Birmingham, the Fleet Street Feast-IVAL’s team dreamed of an area people could walk down and appreciate the beauty of a heritage site. Here you can watch people cooking and where you would want to eat everything that you saw. Featuring a rotating selection of street food independents: the very people who make the West Midlands the best food city in the UK.
The final Fleet Street Feast-IVAL night is on 21 August.
