About this event

Fleet Street: More Than Meets the Eye

Back for Birmingham Heritage Week, join us for a fresh look at one of Birmingham’s most surprising streets. Who knew this quiet little backstreet had such a rich and dramatic story to tell? Think back-to-back housing, industrial giants, and even Cold War secrets – all packed into one unassuming corner of the city.

This unique walking tour reveals the hidden heritage of Fleet Street and the surrounding roads, reflecting the incredible story of Birmingham – the city of a thousand trades.

Starting at the Coffin Works, we’ll take a gentle outdoor stroll around the Jewellery Quarter, unearthing the remarkable tales behind streets that many of us walk down without a second thought.

The tour lasts around 45 minutes to an hour, and while it doesn’t include entry into the Coffin Works Museum itself, you’re welcome to visit the museum afterwards with general admission.

Our café will be open for refreshments – perfect for a post-tour coffee and cake!

Places on the tour are limited, so we recommend booking in advance to secure your spot.
